Wanted Immediate Hire Dental Hygienist (Indian Head)

 

Brand new dental clinic in the Indian Head area is seeking an experienced full time Dental Hygienist to grow with our company.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Perform dental hygiene services and procedures, including dental prophylaxis, scaling, fluoride and sealants, and root planing.
  • Complete a thorough assessment of the patient's teeth, bone, and periodontal tissues, and document any abnormalities or suspected conditions.
  • Take and review x-rays for signs of dental diseases.
  • Customize care to meet a patient's oral health needs.
  • Educate patients on good oral hygiene techniques.
  • Aid the dentist with procedures and emergencies as needed.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality.
  • Provide all care in conjunction with accepted professional dental practices and standards.
  • Record and review patient medical histories. Charts conditions of decay and disease for diagnosis and treatment by dentist.
  • Maintain dental equipment, sharpen, and sterilize dental instruments.

 


Qualifications:

 

  • Graduate of an accredited school of dental hygiene.
  • Registered Dental Hygienist licensure in the state of Maryland.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • 1-2 years of experience working in a dental practice; new graduates are welcome to apply.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Proven dedication to provide high quality, comprehensive dental care.
  • Ability to comply with safety procedures, rules, and regulations in order to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Strong working knowledge of dental terminology, equipment, and practices.


Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: From $50.00 per hour
