MD DGS SBR– The Maryland Department of General Services offers two programs to provide greater access and opportunity for small businesses seeking to do business with the State. The Small Business Reserve (SBR) Program creates opportunities for small businesses in Maryland by designating certain procurements as small business reserve only, meaning exclusively for those businesses who have registered for the SBR. The Small Business Preference Program [A1] allows participating small businesses to enjoy a price preference when bidding on contracts.

MDOT’s OMBE – The Maryland Department of Transportation’s (MDOT) Office of Minority Business Enterprise (OMBE) is the official certification agency for the State. Contracting opportunities are available through the State (most counties, cities and municipalities) and certain Federal projects funded through the US Department of Transportation (DOT). Application assistance workshops are available free of charge.

Charles County SLBE – The Charles County Board of Commissioners created the Small Local Business Enterprise program to make it easier for local companies to do business with the County.  For more information about participation in Charles County's SLBE, contact Lucinia Mundy in the Charles County procurement office at MundyL@CharlesCounty.org.
