The Intermediate Oil 3-day Workshop will be a study of the still life that goes beyond the basics and adds more elements and details. Nicole will discuss how to achieve different textures within the painting including, glass, metal, and fabric. Please bring 2-5 objects to paint from. This class will arrange a more complex still life with your items and light them to get the most dynamic composition. Nicole will do a demonstration combining her beginning stages of an indirect painting and how to use many layers of color to build up a rich and detailed painting. You'll work on many skills and techniques to bring your painting to completion with a more in depth look into creating convincing shadows, edge work, glazing, and highlights. This a great class for someone with a little experience in painting or drawing but all levels are welcome.
