Indian Head Center for the Arts, Inc. and the Black Box Theatre are embarking on an exciting effort to revitalize and re-envision its current space and offerings. The ongoing renovations at IHCA, which were made possible in part by grants from the State of Maryland, Charles County Government and the Town of Indian Head, seek to increase the building’s space by almost 50 percent and will add classrooms, studios and multiple-purpose areas. These new spaces will be used for workshops and rehearsals, as well as an available rental space for local artists and entertainers.

Future plans for the space include open mic nights and classes/workshops in a variety of art disciplines for participants of all age ranges and experience levels. The Black Box Theatre will continue to produce a seasonal calendar of plays and other performances, as well as host the popular summer theatre camps.
