Nate Merkel

As the Planning and Zoning Administrator, Nate is responsible for preparing and updating Comprehensive Plans and implementing ordinances which regulate land use within the incorporated limits of town.  Residential subdivisions, commercial sites, building permits, special exceptions and variances, sign permits, and re-zoning issues are handled by this position.  As the chief planner for the Town, the Planning and Zoning Administrator is also in the best position to analyze in a comprehensive way the overall needs of the community relating to public infrastructure development.  Therefore this position also acts as the coordinator for all capital projects, and is responsible for preparation of a five year capital improvement plan for our community.
